Welcome to the Sutherland Shire Historical Society which was founded in 1966. Members
regularly visit local sites and maintain a museum of historical photographs
memorabilia and items used by early local pioneering families.

Visit the Society's Museum and experience the colour and diversity of pioneering days of the Shire,stroll amongst the exhibits and view the audio/video screenings of past people, places and events that shaped our spectacular Shire.
The Museum is located at the Sutherland Memorial School of Arts, East Parade Sutherland (opposite Sutherland Station), and is open 10am to 3.30pm first Saturday of the month & other times by appointment.
Meetings of the Society are held on the third Saturday of every month at 1:30 pm
at the Stapleton Centre, Stapleton Street, Sutherland. Visitors are welcome. |
